Coast to Coast Walk

 

   

     

 

Classic Cars at Luton Hoo

Each year the Trustees of the Walled Garden at Luton Hoo act as host to a superb collection of classic cars.  This year the organisers adopted the Jumbulance Trust as one of their nominated charities to support and invited us to display Mk15, huge interest was shown in it and sincere thanks are extended to Peter Madden and his team for this support, £800 was raised from this event. (right)

 

Pan Autos Golf Day

Once again Pan Autos in Harpenden adopted the Jumbulance Trust as their charity for their annual Golf Day and invited the Chairman and Secretary to dinner, raising a total of £1,975, our thanks our extended to John Tarbox and his staff for their continued support.

 

Mid Herts Golf Club

During 2010/2011 Mike Hayhurst, the Chairman of the Mid Herts Golf Club, nominated the Jumbulance Trust as his chosen charity for the year, as a result of which he and his members have contributed over £8,000 which has been allocated to the purchase of a new trolley stretcher bed for the second new Jumbulance.  Sincere thanks are extended to him and all members of the club for their generous support.

 

St Albans High School for Girls

In March the junior section of the school, based in Wheathampstead, having supported the Trust in 2010, offered to adopt us once again as their nominated charity for the year and we arranged a goodwill visit with J1 during which the whole school, staff and pupils, had the opportunity of inspecting it in detail and hearing first hand from Brendan kelly in his own words some of what is involved in taking those less fortunate than most on holidays, outings and special events and just what a difference it can make to their lives.  Our sincere thanks to Brendan and all at St Albans High School in Wheathampstead.

 

Bubbles Hairdressing Salon, Harpenden

Thanks to Pauline Baynham and her hairdressing team and loyal customers for continuing to support the trust, we are so grateful to them for their help.

 

Hemel Hempstead Curry Nights

Our thanks go to Tony & Linda Coley who continue to support the Jumbulance Trust with regular curry nights held at the Red Rose Curry House in Hemel Hempstead (right).

 

    

 

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES:

 

Rachel Madocks School

Rachel Madocks School for children with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) travelled with us to the outdoor centre in Exmoor for 5 days in May.

 

 

Cerebral Palsy Sport

For the first time we have been involved in providing transport for young cerebral palsy athletes to compete abroad.  What an eye-opener it was and showed by successful the flexibility of our new Jumbulance is proving to be.

 

  

 

 

Leeds University Disabled Rugby Players

 

 

Glastonbury & WOMAD

 

Festival Spirit is passionate about helping people who never thought they could attend a festival to enjoy the experience safe inthe knowledge that they will have the facilities, support and back up necessary for their condition.  This year, as a result of David Tinker's initiative we took a party of disabled youngers to both Glastonbury and WOMAD and enabled them to experience something very special.

 

Day Outings:

 

Day outings continue to be an extremely popular choice for Residential, Care & Nursing Homes  to take their patients on a special day out and along with J1 the Midi has been busy with trips to Woburn, Southend on Sea, Longleat, Butlins and many more.
